In 2020, when the 44-day war began, Dilakian Brothers wanted not to remain indifferent in that severe situation, but not to have just words and intentions, but to express their principles and values precisely through images. So they began to create the series of «ARTsakh» where the heroes of the statue ‘’We are our mountains‘’ – Dedo and Babo were living their life in the war.  

Papik was marching in the battlefield to protect his homeland, while Tatik was tending to her field, taking care of her people.

Later, the series of paintings continued. This time, Tatik and Papik were among the  ‘’guests’’ of Minas, Saryan,  Dalí, Van Gogh, Picasso  and others’.

Dedo and Babo  have fully embedded the essence of Karabakh in their art – faith, timeless values, paternal love, and the protection of land and water.

Dilakian Brothers’  goal is to make Armenian culture, especially art, accessible worldwide, and for this, new approaches are necessary.
